At the core of this year’s Emotional Appeal is building the capacity to further enlighten our students’ and faculty’s educational experiences. First and foremost, we want our students to be challenged by ambitious curricula and academics in the hands of exceptional teachers—who are best supported by a generous professional development program. To complement classroom learning, we are also focused on the development of an arts fund that can supplement students’ vast arts exposure, via additional trips and visiting artists and performers. Furthermore, in collaboration with our new partner, Round Square, opportunities for cultural exchange for students and faculty can grow exponentially. And finally, through support of a wide array of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion programming—ranging from clubs and affinity groups to DIME2 evenings—we can build a community that recognizes and represents the power of diverse voices and experiences.
